Wellbeing

Supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our #UnitedFamily

Our Commitment to You

At United GC, we believe netball is about more than just what happens on the court. We're committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where every player can thrive physically, emotionally, and socially.

We understand that young people face many challenges today, from the pressures of social media to navigating friendships and school. Our club is a place where players can be themselves, build genuine connections, and know that they're supported by coaches, volunteers, and fellow players who genuinely care.

If you or your child is struggling, please know that you're not alone. Reach out to our club committee, speak to a coach, or access the resources below. Together, we're stronger.

Kindness First

We treat everyone with respect and compassion.

Inclusive Community

Everyone belongs in the #UnitedFamily.

Safe Space

Our club is a judgment-free zone.

Dolly's Dream Partnership

United GC is proud to support Dolly's Dream, a foundation working to prevent bullying, anxiety, depression, and youth suicide.

Dolly's Dream was established in memory of Amy "Dolly" Everett, a young girl from the Northern Territory who tragically took her own life after experiencing bullying. The foundation's mission is to change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.

"Speak even if your voice shakes."

Be Kind Online & Offline

  • Think before you post - Would you say it to their face?
  • Report bullying - Don't be a bystander
  • Include others - Everyone deserves to feel welcome
  • Speak up - If something doesn't feel right, tell someone you trust
  • Be a friend - A small act of kindness can make a big difference
